Our History

House on the Rock is a parish of The Redeemed Christian of Church (RCCG), a worldwide non – denominational Christian religious organization established in 1952.

The global vision and mission of the church are to make heaven by living a life of holiness and to take as many people as possible along. The goal is to pursue this vision until every nation in the world is reached for Jesus Christ, our Lord.

HOUSE ON THE ROCK was registered as a non-profit religious organization in the State of Texas in 2000 and holds a 501C Exempt Certificate of the government of the United States. The Church started Sunday morning Services at Days Inn on Interstate 30 & Beltline Road, Grand Prairie TX, on the 7th of May 2000 with about 25 people in attendance after the inaugural service.

In August of the same year, the church moved to 2431 S. Beltline Road, Grand Prairie Texas, where membership increased to about 60 adults.

In February 2003, due to a further increase in membership, the church moved to 817 W. Pioneer Pkwy, Suite 122, Grand Prairie, Texas.

In April 2010, the church moved to the newly completed sanctuary, Family Life Center, on 4437 Matthew Road, Grand Prairie TX 75052, purposely designed and built to accommodate a modern sanctuary, a functional Youth Church, well-equipped and staffed children’s church, bookshop and offices.

In 2016, the church completed and moved into its multi-purpose office and outreach building within the same premises.

The church’s current membership as at March 2018, drawn from different nations of the world, is about 1100 and still growing. Pursuant to the global vision of the church, House on the Rock has also been instrumental in pioneering 16 other parishes of The Redeemed Christian Church of God spread across four states of the United States.
